About

Dance artist – Yoga teacher- Massage therapist

‘My research is leading me to study fascial awareness and the invisible tensegral network between individuals, through touch and non-touch’

Ways to define

I am a dance artist (choreographer/researcher/performer), a yoga teacher and a sports massage therapist.

Through these embodied practices, I investigate the Bodymind (term coined by Nita Little) via an experiential, artistic and somatic perspective.

Ways to move from

I have an extensive background in contemporary dance, contact improvisation and multi-disciplinary work, having worked with companies and groups of artists on a global scale. More detailed info here.

Ways to see

My approach aims to be non-hierarchical and collaborative, enriched by a sense of co-creation from all participants accross the areas of teaching, choreographing and performing.

Indeed my research often questions the sense of authorship and wants to look at inter-relational ways of communicating and creating. It also questions what we believe ’Identity’ is, and ways of perceiving ourselves within a group and a particular context.

Ways to pursue

These past few years I have felt the need to weave my artistic and somatic practices together, which led me to study a Master in Creative Practice at Trinity Laban and Independent Dance.

I am a recipient of the Leverhulme Trust Scholarship and the Gill Clarke Bursary.

Ways to make sense

Weaving the fabric of the poetic, the somatic and the performative seems to be a constant artistry and equilibrium to understand myself and the world we live in. This fabric has recently come up for me under the name of ‘fascia’ or connective tissue. In other words, the fibrous network that sustains the tension and compression forces between the ‘things’, between cells, between organism, between bones, between individuals…

Ways to share

Teaching has been a big part of my life and inspiration. I run various dance and yoga workshops and classes for pro and amateurs, in studios, dance schools and choreographic centres, gyms, corporate and private environment.

Ways to locate

I am based in London and Southern Germany
